The Greatest Investment You Can Make in Your Kid (And Yourself)

Jun 23, 2025

Every parent wants what’s best for their kid.

They want to give them every opportunity, open every door, and provide the kind of support they maybe never had.

That’s why you see parents investing enormous amounts of time and money—hauling kids to camps, showcases, and tournaments across the country.
Flights. Hotels. Meals.
Private strength coaches. Speed coaches. Position-specific trainers.
It’s a major investment—and it shows how much parents care.

But here’s a tough question we all need to consider:

Are you getting the return on that investment?

When the Game Ends… Then What?

At some point, your kid will be done with their sport—whether that’s at 19, 25, or 45.

When that day comes, will all the hours, energy, and money you spent have paid off?

Sure, there will be memories made, lessons learned. But here’s the truth:

What good is throwing the perfect spiral if they don’t know how to handle life when it throws something unexpected their way?

We spend so much time training the physical game…
But often overlook the one thing that ties it all together:

The Missing Piece: The Mind

Mind Strength Training is the most important investment you can make—for your child, and for yourself.

Why?

Because no matter what happens, the one person you’ll always be with is you.
And the one thing you always have control over is your mind.

Yet it’s the one area that gets neglected the most.

When athletes train with me, they’re not just preparing for the next big game.
They’re developing life skills:

  How to respond to pressure

How to bounce back from adversity

How to stay focused in chaos

How to stay grounded in success

How to lead with confidence and humility

These are the same skills they’ll carry into relationships, careers, leadership roles—and into the kind of life they build long after the final whistle.

Why This Matters—To Me, Personally

It’s the greatest gift my parents gave me: a foundation in mindset.

It’s also the thing I’ve continued to invest in throughout my life. When I’ve prioritized it, I’ve grown. When I’ve ignored it, I’ve struggled.

Mind Strength is about mastering your inner world so you can handle anything the external world throws your way.

And it’s a tool that compounds in value for the rest of your life.

Start the Real Investment

 Whether that’s:

Working with me as your Mind Strength Coach

Reading The Mind Strength Playbook (Available Oct. 24, 2025)

  Listening to a podcast episode

Or just starting the conversation with your kid…

Start investing in the one thing that will always matter—your mind.

Because here’s the truth:

Sports are a mirror for life. The lessons learned there stay with us forever.
And the irony? Those same lessons—resilience, discipline, confidence—are the foundation of Mind Strength Training.

Final Word

 Make Mind Strength a priority.

Not just because it’s the edge in sports—
But because it’s the edge in life.
