Mind Strength Is Built In Tribulation

Mar 16, 2026

“And not only that, but we also rejoice in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

— Romans 5:3–4 (NKJV)

I have prayed for easier times.

And I don’t believe it’s wrong to wish for a smoother path.

But when I fixate on that wish — when I obsess over trying to change the “event” — I find myself trying to control something I was never meant to control.

And when we focus on what we cannot control, anxiety increases.

The event is not ours to control.
The perception is.

Instead of becoming upset about the hard moments in your life — or mine — a mentality shift is needed.

As Dr. Wayne Dyer said,

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

View the event like the weight room for your Mind Strength.

Like the verse says, the tribulation you face today is producing perseverance.
Perseverance is shaping your character.
Character builds hope. And I would add — it builds peace.

Peace doesn’t come from a smooth life.
It comes from a strengthened mind and spirit that can overcome whatever stands in the way.

Peace isn’t the absence of difficulty.
It’s confidence in who you are becoming through it.

So take the trials and tribulations you are facing head on.

The man or woman you are destined to become is waiting on the other side of them.

Affirmation for the Week:

  • I am resilient and overcome any obstacle that stands in my way!
